Win the White House, Executive Command, NewsFeed Defenders, Immigration Nation, Counties Work, or Do I Have a Right? didn’t load or gave an Out of Memory error
WebGL games need enough memory to run. The amount of memory available to the WebGL game can vary depending on the browser, OS, and device you are using.
Here are a few things you can try:
- Close any programs and all browser tabs or windows you are not using and refresh the game page.
- If that doesn’t work, try also clearing your browser’s cache and refreshing the game page again.
- If that still doesn’t work, a different browser may run the game successfully.
In some cases, the game may simply require more memory than your computer has available.
Win the White House, Executive Command, NewsFeed Defenders, Immigration Nation, Counties Work, or Do I Have a Right? asked to install the Unity Web Player plug-in
On most recent browsers, Win the White House will run automatically as WebGL content, with no plug-in required.
If you are using Internet Explorer, which does not support playing Win the White House as WebGL content, you will be asked if you wish to install the Unity Web Player plug-in as an alternative way to play the game.
(WebGL games developed later such as Executive Command do not support the Web Player alternative, as Unity has discontinued support for Web Player.)
If you would prefer not to install the plug-in, try another browser such as Chrome, Firefox, or Edge.
If you wish to install the Unity Web Player plug-in, when prompted, click “Install now!”
You may receive security confirmations from your browser. For example, on Internet Explorer click “Run” at the prompts to install the plug-in:
After installing the Unity Web Player plug-in, Win the White House should launch automatically.
Win the White House, Executive Command, NewsFeed Defenders, Immigration Nation, Counties Work, or Do I Have a Right? gave the following error: “You need a browser which supports WebGL to run this content. Try installing latest Chrome, Firefox, or Edge.”
WebGL is a new technology that allows sophisticated games to run in browser without the need for installing plug-ins. Since different browsers will begin supporting this technology at different times, you should make sure you are using the most up to date version of your chosen browser. If you are still receiving this error, try switching to a different browser.
Win the White House, Executive Command, NewsFeed Defenders, Immigration Nation, Counties Work, or Do I Have a Right? gave the following error: “Your configuration does not seem to support WebGL content. You may be using an unsupported graphics driver.”
This error may occur if your system doesn’t support WebGL or WebGL is disabled. One possible reason for this is that Windows XP disables WebGL for systems with older graphics drivers that do not support it. You may be able to solve this problem by updating your graphics drivers or upgrading your graphics card. As an alternative, you may use Internet Explorer versions 9 to 11 to play the Unity Web Player version instead.
If you are using a recent system and see this error, it is possible that you have manually disabled WebGL functionality in your browser, in which case you need to re-enable it.
