Teachers can create student accounts, without the need for student email addresses, with the following two options.
Create Your Class, Add Your Students
- Login to iCivics
- Click on the "Classes" tab.
- Fill out the "Create a Class" form. Be sure to record your class name, class code, and password!
- Once your class is created, select that class. Click "View All"
- Enter the first and last names of your students. The system will assign each student an iCivics Username. Each student's default password will be the class password you selected when you created your class. You have the option to reset each student's password if you prefer them to have different passwords.
- Give the students their usernames and passwords. They can now log in, play and participate in their virtual classroom!
Create Your Class, Students Sign Up With Your Class Code
- Login to iCivics.
- Click on the "Classes" tab.
- Fill out the "Create a Class" form. Be sure to record your class name, class code, and password!
- Once your class is created, select that class and copy the "Class code"
- Give your class code to your students.
- Students can now sign up for a free student account using your class code.
- Once they sign up, they will automatically be added to your class.
